Itinerary
A Bhutanese Soiree with the Royal Family
Set in the premises of the Royal Textile Museum in the heart of the capital, you will be welcomed in a traditional and colorful Chipdrel ceremony reserved only for the royals and VIPs. A festive procession of singing men and women dancers in the traditional outfit accompanied by monks chanting prayers and playing traditional religious musical instruments (cymbals, bells, horns etc) will usher you.
The event will showcase all aspects of Bhutanese culture - mesmerizing mask dances, ancient folk songs and dances, a performance by Bhutan’s only ethnomusicologist and veteran singer, a special appearance by the popular actor/actress of the small but growing Bhutanese Film Industry and a textile fashion show by the Bhutanese youth.
Enjoy the soiree amidst members of the Royal Family, govt. officials and the business community accompanied by cocktails and snacks.
